Château le Grand Vostock’s premium, oak aged wines carry the name of General Karsov – winemaker and wine lover, who obtained the land where Château le Grand Vostock is situated in the 19th century from the Tsar in thanks for his victory at the siege of Kars in the last Russo-Turkish war. The General was one of the first Russian winemakers who understood the potential of this land.

The white Cuvee Karsov wine has been prepared from classic French Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc grapes and aged in new French barrels.

As evaluated by French specialists, this wine is in the class of Cru Bourgeois. Will be distributed through specialized boutiques, restaurants, upscale supermarkets.

Grapes from estate vineyards, established on limestone and clay soils, were hand selected and harvested. They were lightly pressed, underwent cold maceration for 36 hours to extract harmonious aromas, and then fermented in new French oak barrels, producing a fully developed and expressive wine.

Experts comments:

  • Straw yellow with a hint of green;
  • Bright white flower and fruit aroma in combination with delicate notes of vanilla and woody tones;
  • Wine differs full oily taste with dominant flower and fruit tones of white fruits with honey, cream and vanilla notes.
  • Degustation comments: Complex Cuvee Karsov aromas are perfect with fish dishes, seafood, soft cheese and white meat dishes with creamy or spicy sauces.
